Gear Rules & Packing List

In the backcountry, your gear is your lifeline. Pack smart, pack light, and follow the guidelines exactly.

Strict Rule

No Cotton Clothing on Trail

Cotton holds moisture and loses its insulation value when wet. This is a severe safety and hypothermia issue at high altitudes. All trail clothing must be synthetic or wool.

Required

Hydration Setup

Hydration bladders are strongly discouraged as they are prone to breaking. Four Nalgene bottles are required per person, plus one 2L Platypus collapsible bottle for dry camps.
